About silicon and lithium ion battery

Lithium batteries, one of the most important storage system, nowadays have been used widely in society.
The performance of batteries plays an important role in many fields, such as electric vehicles, consumer electronics, house power storage, and wearable devices. However, due to the theoretical capacity, the conventional graphite anode materials limit the performance of the battery. The anode materials is the key to this problem, therefore, the market needs better anode materials to proudce better batteries.

Silicon can hold capacity 5 to10X than conventional graphite , and the raw materials of silicon are abundant and cheap. Thus, silicon is the most potential anode materials for the next generation lithium-ion batteries.
